Chicken Shawarma kebabs

this recipe is a great easy way to make a chicken shawarma kebabs at home, you can either use a premade israeli shawarma spice or follow the recipe bellow:


Shawarma spice:


1 tbsp ground cumin

1 tbsp paprika

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp sumac

1/2 tbsp ground ginger

3/4 tsp ground clove


Combine all dried spices and stir well. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.


Chicken Shawarma kebab:

1lb chicken breast, boneless and skinless , cut into 1 inch cubes

1/4 cup olive oil

1 Tbs kosher salt

2 tbs Shawarma spice( can add more if you like)

wooden or metal skewers


mix all the ingredients together and form the kababs

for best results let the kababs sit overnight.

the following day grill the kababs or broil them in your oven. you can also use a hot cast iron grill pan.

*if u dont want to make kababs then you can cut chicken breast in half lengthwise and mix all the ingredients. then cook it in your preferred cooking method.

*chicken thighs work really in this recipe, it gives a juicer more flavorful Shawarma

*best served with Tahini sauce
